Day 1: 25/50 mile endurance rides, 12 mile intro ride
Day 2: 25/55 mile endurance rides, 12 mile intro ride
The trail is a mixture of climbs and flat, easy sections. Hoof protection is recommended.
Ride Camp
Camp is at the Barry Stadium behind Fort Meade, just 2 miles from Sturgis, South Dakota. Camping for the weekend is is $30 payable with registration. One trailer/rig per space. Tents may be added at no charge, and there are no extra fees for horses or people.
Horses leaving the brand inspection area will need to have a brand inspection per South Dakota law. A brand inspector will be on site. Inspections are $20 and good for the lifetime of the horse, as long as you own it. Please bring proof of ownership.
Weed free hay is required and may be purchased by contacting The Hay Shed.

50 mile rides begin at 6:30 a.m.
25 mile rides begin at 7:30 a.m.
Intro riders begin at 9:00 a.m.
Please join us for a potluck Saturday night. Management will provide brisket and sausage. Bring your favorite side dish to share, and don’t forget desserts!
2024 Entry Fees: 25/50 mile rides, $130 per day for or $50 for juniors. Intro trail rides, $50 per day. Add $20 per day fee for non-AERC members.
Check or cash payments only. We will not have a way to process credit cards in camp.

Driving Directions
From Interstate 90, take Exit 30 (Lazelle Street). Continue through downtown about 2.5 miles to Fort Meade.
After coming through Sturgis, turn into the first entrance of the Fort Meade complex (Custer Avenue) and follow the signs to camp.
