Vets: Dr. Glenn Sinclair, DVM & Dr. Stefanie Krumsiek, DVM and certified animal chiropractor
Dr. Glenn Sinclair, DVM: I graduated with a DVM in 1985 and entered general practice. Over the next few years, it became clear that Equine was where I belonged and developed an Equine only ambulatory practice in Southern Manitoba. When we were to host the Pan Am Games in 1999 Manitoba Horse Council asked me to attend some large Equine FEI competitions prior to us hosting the Test Event in 1988. In this way I became the most experienced local Vet in Manitoba and I was heavily involved in the 1999 PanAm Games in Dressage Jumping and 3-day Eventing and following the games I was promoted to FEI accredited in these Sports which lead to me being invited to various events as a Canadian Official. Endurance got their hooks into me around 2005 and I was encouraged and provided with opportunities to achieve 4-star status as Control Judge (Veterinarian) and 4-star Treatment Veterinarian. As such I have travelled with Canada’s Endurance Teams to Malaysia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, England, France, Italy and many locations throughout North America. As a Foreign Official I have been invited to Japan (4 times) Costa Rica, Florida (3 times) Texas and New Jersey. I am also an approved AERC Vet and member and am looking forward to working with all of you at the upcoming 2-day competition.
Dr. Stefanie Krumsiek, DVM and certified animal chiropractor: Born and raised in Austria, I graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna in 2004. After a few years of working as a teaching assistant at the university and as a freelance medical writer in Vienna, I went back to the field. For almost three years I worked in a mixed animal practice focusing on large animals and for one year in an equine only practice in Salzburg, Austria. In 2008 I visited Chilcotin and later met my future husband while traveling through BC’s interior. Since 2012 I have been a part of Williams Lake’s Veterinary Hospital on North Broadway. Since my early childhood, horses have played an important role in my life. Back when I was still living in Austria, I have been riding mainly but not exclusively Icelandic horses, including training them and competing on a provincial level. In 2019 I was invited to vet my first endurance event. It was a great experience and I am interested to be part of the endurance group again. I am looking forward to seeing you all.
